Welcome Robb Van Cleave
LGPI is delighted to announce that Robb Van Cleave is our new Executive Director. Robb has joined us from Columbia Gorge Community College, where he has been Chief Operating Officer since 2006. Prior to joining the college, Robb was the Director of Employee & Administration Services with Wasco County, Oregon.
Robb’s background includes extensive knowledge and experience in county and city government, both as an appointed and elected official. He has over 24 years of experience leading human resources, labor relations and risk management in county government and higher education. Robb proudly served his community for 15 years as an elected official in city government, where he served as a City Councilor before being appointed Mayor, and was elected for five additional mayoral terms.
Robb has a proven track record of successful leadership and we are confident that he will be a strong asset to LGPI and to our members.

The Local Government Personnel Institute (LGPI) is an ORS 190 public agency that offers Human Resources and Labor Relations assistance to cities, counties, and special districts throughout Oregon.
We were founded in 1971 as a joint venture between the League of Oregon Cities (LOC) and the Association of Oregon Counties (AOC). LGPI is governed by a eight-member Board of Directors and employs full- and part-time staff members.
